Raumati Swimming Club has recently purchased a Fastlane training unit. The Fastlane is like a swimming treadmill with the added extras of underwater mirrors and video cameras. The Fastlane uses a remote control to adjust the speed. The Fastlane’s highest speed challenges the best competitive swimmer, yet the current can easily be adjusted to suit the beginner and everyone in between.. The swimmers will be able to self correct using the mirrors while the coaches can give immediate feedback; then, further discussion and teaching can take place later using the video.
