Next month is the start of the Jarvis Cup handicapped event.  (last years winner Louis Regnault). To enter this event you will need a 100m freestyle time. So if you don’t have a time or want to ‘spring clean’ your exsisting time now’s your chance.

Duncan Laing Dies

Swimming coach legend Duncan Laing has died. He had been ill for some time.

Laing coached 11 Olympic athletes, including Danyon Loader who won 2 golds in Atlanta and a silver in Barcelona. Laing was made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2007, and had an OBE for services to swimming.

You can leave a message of condolence here.

He will be farewelled in a public memorial service at the Edgar Centre, Dunedin.

Raumati Swimmers Qualify for Spring Meet

Well done to the following swimmers who are off to the New Zealand Spring Competition in Mount Manganui (28th September to October 1st.)
